Last Updated: 7th Feb 2018

I am delighted to be Writer in Residence at the Surrey Wildlife Trust and was formerly Writer in Residence at the National Trust’s Polesden Lacey.

I live in Surrey and have two delightful sons.

I was born and raised in Bristol before studying Mathematics and Physics BSc at London University. I then discovered my passion for writing and gained Distinction in the MFA in Creative Writing at Kingston University where I was awarded the MFA Creative Writing Prize.

I am primarily a prose writer, although I have had a play performed and poetry published. My short stories, both literary and commercial, have been published in magazines, anthologies and online, read at literary festivals and performed. I am currently working on a historical novel.

I tutor creative writing for Surrey Adult Learning and privately. I am a Professional Member of the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
